6:30 am MDT — A briefing of the administration of the Scott Able Fire near Cloudcroft is taking place this morning. Results of that briefing should be made public at around 7:30. Nothing new to report meanwhile on direction or status of the blaze.

10:20 am MDT — According to an account from KOB-TV, residents of Miller Flats have been allowed to return to their homes. The first evacuation reversal since the fire began. Winds have subsided considerably today. Firefighters were able to fight the blaze yesterday to a basic standoff despite high and swirling winds. The forest service is compiling a damage inventory and it should be available today.
11:40 am MDT — A more detailed account of the structural and property losses from the Scott Able Fire: 20 residences, 16 outbuildings and 6 vehicles. Specifics are not yet available.
1:45 pm MDT — It was described as a wild horse in a corral. The Scott Able Fire near Cloudcroft continues to rage but is burning patches not burned before within the perimeter established Friday by fire fighters. Thanks to cooperating winds today, 100% containment of the blaze, expected by Tuesday, is on schedule.
