Location: 14 miles northeast of Cloudcroft

Containment: 100 percent

Fuel Type: Ponderosa pine, mixed conifer, pinyon-juniper

Threats: Utility lines, homes, and natural resources

Evacuations/closures: Roadblocks lifted May 12. Roads in the vicinity 
of the fire area will be patrolled.

Hazards: Steep, rocky terrain; spots outside fire line, and accessibility.

Resources: The incident team will transition at 6 a.m., May 14, 2003, to 
the Sacramento Ranger District.

Concerns and activities:
1. Provide for public and firefighter safety.
2. Structural protection is in place in Sixteen Springs Canyon.
3. Improve line and contain the fire, mop up, minimizing impacts to private land.
4. Protect cultural and biological resources.
