Southwest Area Interagency Incident Management Team Walker Fire Update May 13, 2003 Fire Information: 505-687-4265 Contact: Terri Wildermuth Cloudcroft, NM – The Walker Fire was 85 percent contained at 6:00. Roadblocks have been lifted but roads in the vicinity of the fire area will be patrolled. All control lines are holding and mop-up continues today. Confirmed losses include 3 residences and 16 outbuildings/vehicles. Structure protection is still in place. No fatalities have been reported. Committed resources include 7 Type I Crews, 5 Type II Crews, 10 engines, 8 dozers, 10 watertenders, and 1 helicopter. A total of 379 personnel are assigned to the incident as of May 11. Full containment is projected for May 13 th at 6:00 pm.
