This image is a postcard published around 1948 or so of "A Cloudcroft
Cabin",
presuming it to be a typical cabin in that little town. As it happens, that
cabin has
been in my family for 60 years (initially owned by my parents Dr. & Mrs.
Leigh Wilcox).
Its original owner, dentist Louis Breck, held it for its first 50 years of
existence.
It is indeed typical of the first cabins built in Cloudcroft, many of which
stand today
along "Middle Hill" (now called Wren) and Squirrel Ave. --
Suzannah Wilcox Barnebey.
