CLOUDCROFT ONLINE NEWSLETTER # 91
January 4, 2002
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Dear Subscriber:
Cold symptoms have fragmented my thoughts. The view of long
fingers of ice hanging from the roof's edge outside my office
window sends feverish chills down my back. Nothing like a good
ol' chest cold to put things in perspective. I felt better last
week, but I will feel better again next week.
Where's that box of tissues?
A friend of mine recently emailed me wishing me a happy new
year. He told me he had strong hopes that 2002 would bring with
it the answers to questions Man has been asking for decades.
For instance:
What would a chair look like if our knees bent the other way?
If a fly had no wings, would it be called a "walk?"
What if the Hokey Pokey really was what it was all about?
What is another word for "synonym"?
(sneeze)
I just took a shot of that green syrup. I wonder how that stuff
would taste on the rocks? I'd best close this newsletter before
my thoughts are no longer just fragmented, but incoherent as
well.

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

Dear Newsletter:
I was born in January and other than that I cannot think of a
really good thing about it, unless you like cold weather, like
me.
Consider January that month to get caught up on all the things
that need doing; time to buy the seeds to start indoors for
planting outside, time to read that book you have been promising
yourself you would for the last two years. Time to think without
getting interrupted. Smile! Great letter as usual.

great newsletter.

Dear Newsletter:
My husband, myself and our two-year-old son just visited your
village on New Year's Day. We absolutely loved it and all the
snow.
Like another letter writer expressed, we too had a great time
save for the Western Cafe. The hostess was absolutely rude and
totally unwelcoming. The fries were cold, though the rest of
the meal was tasty. I think the waitress cracked a smile once,
and that was because she thought she made a mistake in the
order. Yikes.
I guess it didn't bother her that we had nothing left to drink
by the time we were served, though, because she never asked or
offered.
O' well, ya live and ya learn. Your town is beautiful, most of
the people were very warm and friendly, the shops were great.
Thank you so much for a wonderful time--next time we're bringing
the tubes.
